When you’re onto a winner and want to keep milking it...
Is it lazy reporting, bad editing or just driven by it being a ‘Slow News Day’ http://bit.ly/2NFb5GL ? No matter what is creating it there has recently been a spate of non-stories and articles crop up where the content and pictures are almost identical just to fill up column inches and get you 'clicking'
These follow a pretty rigid set routine of…
Here’s an example…
Headline “Chloe Ferry shows off two-stone weight loss in bikini “
A pretty innocuous sounding headline but hang on what about the other article from a couple of days before titled…
Chloe Ferry shows off her incredible two stone weight loss in a tiny neon pink bikini https://bit.ly/2Z2lORC
Or
Chloe Ferry displays her eye-popping two stone weight loss transformation https://bit.ly/2ZEyIWC
Or
Chloe Ferry leaves little to the imagination in a TINY silver bikini as she displays her two stone weight loss https://bit.ly/2XJGr35
The list goes on and on and on http://bit.ly/36D3z5D with literally dozens of almost identical headlines, but it gets worse because behind the headlines there’s the (lack of) content…
A classic case of this is demonstrated with Kerry Katona who recently joined an X-rated subscription only website, this time not only are the headlines almost identical but the actual wording in the article is as well with the descriptions reading…
‘She recently revealed that she has joined X-rated subscription site OnlyFans.
And Kerry Katona looked sensational when she stripped down to a sparkly black bikini for a sizzling Instagram snap on Sunday.
The mother-of-five, 39, shared the photo alongside the caption: 'Not gonna lie my confidence has gone through the roof.' https://bit.ly/3fXkwNX
And the next one…..
'She recently revealed that she has joined X-rated subscription site OnlyFans.
And Kerry Katona was sure to set pulses racing when she shared a sizzling selfie in lingerie via her Instagram on Tuesday.
The mother-of-five, 39, looked sensational as she showed off her toned abs when she slipped into a red lace bra, underwear, and matching suspender belt.' https://bit.ly/2WPVTv6
Still going…
'She recently revealed that she has joined X-rated subscription site OnlyFans.
And Kerry Katona proved to be her own best advert as she shared yet another sizzling snap to Instagram on Thursday.
The mother-of-five, 39, put on a very busty display as she showcased her ample assets in a plunging red lace bra.' https://bit.ly/3en6fs6
As well as many others that are virtually all the same http://bit.ly/2K22VZu
It really is a ‘Copy + Paste, Rinse Repeat’ situation, the new article literally has nothing else to report so just repeats itself and then uses the same text (and in most cases old photos) from the last story. In each case the ‘celebrity’ in question is flogging a product or service which makes us question, other than the extra revenue the tabloid is making from these articles are the ‘celebs’ (or their agents) actually in cahoots with the tabloids and giving them something more in return for the ‘free’ advertising?
Either way you cut it the internet is filling up with these sorts of articles that are thinly veiled adverts and non news or FakeNews to get clicks and the only way to kerb it is not to click. But lets be honest the ‘Celebrity’ in question is getting the extra followers and ‘click value’ to sell stuff and the papers are getting articles to fill up their columns with when there is nothing to report so I doubt that this will be going away any time soon!
