Sightings of 'big cats' have long been a common occurrence across Devon, but far rarer is sightings of a big black cat seen prowling along the water's edge at Exmouth beach as has been witnessed today.
Many heads were turned in shock when the 'creature' was seen cooling off during usually warm temperatures by paddling in the sea this morning, June 15.
However, far from being a dangerous wild animal on the loose, a simple and fearless explanation has been revealed. The life-size cat is in fact the creation of Brendan Rawlings who is renowned for his breathtakingly unusual sculptures.
