Aldi issues ice cream update amid national shortage

News reports are showing yet another chocolate flake shortage in the UK, just when the weather hots up and ice cream sales start to rocket. But Aldi say their Dairyfine Crumbly Cones remain in stock - at £1.69 for a pack of four.

The frozen cones include vanilla ice cream and a milk chocolate flake finger at £1.81 cheaper than the recommended retail price of a pack of Cadbury’s Flake 99 cones. Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: "We don't want shoppers to miss out on their favourite ice cream treat, so we're confirming that at Aldi - there's no risk of shortages of our Dairyfine Crumbly Cones this summer."

I Call True: Aldi doing what they do best, a bit of self promotion, I Googled it and there is a real shortage of Cadbury's flakes happening so calling TRUE on this article... just
