Disney's live-action remake of the animated film Mulan is facing calls for a boycott, after its star voiced support for Hong Kong's police force.

Chinese actress Liu Yifei, a naturalised US citizen, reposted a viral pro-police comment on Chinese social media platform Weibo.

The territory has been convulsed by sometimes violent pro-democracy protests over the past 10 weeks.

Rights groups and the UN have accused the police of a heavy handed response.

I Call True: True there's calls for a boycott, it sems if anyone voices an opinion these days someone, somewhere will take offence at it.
I do 100% disagree with her sentiments but do agree that she has a right to say it.

Agree with MDM 100% here. There's always done moron willing to get offended at anything that they don't agree with, and they just deserves to be ignored.

Don't agree with her but don't think the film should be punished for it

Not the films fault but by doing this and tanking the film she will be basically unemployable
