Manchester United stopped talk of a potential walk-out demonstration by beating Brentford 3-0 in Ralf Ranignick's final home game as interim manager.

The pre-match talk before the Monday Night Football clash surrounded fan protests outside Old Trafford, with the idea of a 73rd-minute walk-out devised by a group of fans.

But goals from Bruno Fernandes, a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty and Raphael Varane quashed talk of fan unrest in their final home game of the season - with the protest struggling to attract much traction.

I Call True: Too little too late from Man U here, sure it was a solid win but looking at the table they've now played 2 games more than most teams around them so a top four finish will be almost impossible unless both Arsenal and Spurs LOSE their last 4 games each and Man U win their last two.

Possible that they might hold on to Ronaldo if they can finish the season strong

A slight return to form but way too late in the season to make a difference

A good result from United, but boy did they need it after their latest run.
