Prince William has indulged his football fandom in a rare personal tweet. In his role as president of the FA, the Duke of Cambridge was at Wembley this evening for the FA Cup Final between Liverpool and Chelsea.
Liverpool emerged victorious after a penalty shoot-out, with William tweeting from his and wife Kate Middleton's Twitter account his congratulations to them and commiserations to Chelsea.
The Duke wrote: "Congratulations @LFC on being crowned 2022 Men’s FA Cup champions! Very well deserved after a long journey and commiserations to @ChelseaFC, you showed real fight for the full 120 minutes and more. W. #FACupFinal."
