Darcey Bussell officially announced the news of her departure from Strictly on Twitter last week.

And, according to a report, professional ballet dancer Carlos Acosta is being eyed-up by BBC show bosses to sauté into her vacant seat on the judging panel.

The globally sought-after choreographer, 45, who has danced with Darcey before on numerous occasions, is said to be after an eye-watering fee of £400,000 to take on the TV gig.

I Call Bull: I somehow cant see the equal opportunities mob allowing this to go through - replacing a lady with a man, no matter how talented and world renowned he is.

I'd say his agent released this news to the press in the hope of forcing a deal through although i reckon its backfired a bit!

So that will be about the 10th person they have lined up for the job according to the press, they are going to need a very wide judges desk at this rate

I think another lady and an ex dancer on the show would make more sense http://bit.ly/2Gkcuh6
