**** EPISODE 3 kinda spoiler but not any plot information ****

Animal rights organization PETA decides to honor The Boys for its season 3 octopus scene, in which the Deep is forced to eat his friend, Timothy.

Thankfully, no actual animals were harmed during the filming, as the octopus was created using cutting-edge technology - something PETA very much appreciates. The organization is honoring Crawford, Kripke, and The Boys special effects team with its “Tech, Not Terror” Award for that cruelty-free and, frankly, disturbing scene featuring Deep and a computer-generated octopus.

In an official statement, PETA’s Senior Vice President Lisa Lange says, “The Boys’ real heroes are working behind the scenes, creating a realistic CGI octopus so that animals can live in peace. PETA is celebrating this series for helping viewers see every octopus as an individual like Timothy, not as an entrée or as entertainment.”

I Call Bull: Oh how I laughed at this obvious #LoveThatLoveMe http://bit.ly/2K3df04 attempt by PETA

Much like the Airport advert ban the other day https://bit.ly/399jsbc this is such an obvious grab for the free press, it is painful.

Oh and lets not forget this 'character' was turned on by and accidentally slaughtered a dolphin and gets off on octopuses so celebrating 'The Boys' and its depiction of animals is a miss fire for me (even though it is a superb show!)

This does seem a bizarre grab for relevance by PETA

Yet another desperate grab by PETA for free press that once again, in my opinion, actually makes them seem less credible not more
